Why is Brunel automatically depressing just because it utilises more black than the other skins? Or are you just making sweeping generalisations?

I'm feeling very depressed today.
I agree about Alabaster, it's hideous.

Brunel doesn't make me depressed. I like the blackness.

I like the black and the bigger font of the menus.... yes, Alabaster is not pretty, Goo looks nice but it's just all too small for me. I like the simplicity of Brunel.
Cheer up Mr Dreadful - grab yourself something yummy or whatever you fancy! It's nearly the weekend

Brunel ain't that black... It's got some black, sure... (and I like black) but it seems generally green to me.
I'm on another site that really IS black. Well, dark gray... almost entirely. so this seems quite colourful compared.

I am a skin tart, I tend to flit bettween them all on a fairly regular basis. It depends on which browser window I'm using, and how fast my connection is.

I know one thing I've seen quite a bit of since the influx of so many new researchers...
So far I've seen at least 4 post replies to post 20 of The Most Boring and Banal Thread on h2g2...
There are over 13,800 posts after that they missed.
Such posts are easy to spot as they are great non sequiters.
Luckily they are in the Most Boring and Banal thread... they fit perfectly.

"I agree about Alabaster, it's hideous." What on are you on about? Alabaster looks much nicer than Brunel. Right now I can see lots of white, also the bar at the top is two nice shades or orange and the rest is a lovely teal colour. Alabaster is clean and clear, if that doesn't sound too much like some kind of cleanser. Brunel is DULL. There, I said it.

Ah, but Brunel is for those of us who have the mind of an engineer and who choose skins based on usefulness, not on astethics.
Besides, Brunel looks .
