>>The EU parliament doesn't make the rules the unelected EU commission does.
No-one is safe anymore.
Once we have all had the Euro forced upon us. Taxes and interest rates centralised. Police powers centralised and the UK system of blanket CCTV adopted all over the EU and the UK version of identity cards taken up by the EU then we won't even be able to question who gets arrested and why because we will get arrested.<<
Oh come off it. The EU Commission is made up of people appointed by the elected representatives of their country. The president of the Commission has to be confirmed by a majority vote of MEPs.
The Commission can propose legislation and enforce it, but it can't implement it: its proposals have to be voted on by the directly-elected MEPs before they become law. Crucially, it has no powers over police and judicial integration and co-operation so in cases like that of Tzivni Lipi (who's got diplomatic immunity anyway) it's got no power at all.
You can argue that the Commission is a bureaucratic waste of time and money, but it isn't the arm of a dictator. Not by a long shot.

The genetic map of a 55-year-old man’s tumour has revealed 22,910 different mutations, most of which were caused by the carcinogenic agents found in cigarette smoke. ... This means that the patient probably acquired a new mutation for every 15 cigarettes he smoked.

On one hand this is ing awesome, that a major international player has come out, showing the world we aren't all effeminate stereotypes.
On the other hand, the stuff he went through keeping his sexuality secret is very sad and I just wish we lived in a world where it wasn't necessary.

Not to mention the problem of rape. Female soldiers are raped with horrific frequency. Sometimes pregnancy results. Is he going to court-martial them for being provocatively female?

If you´re sent on a mission, it does seem rather irresponsible to not take the precautions to avoid pregnancy. Hardly the time and place.

No, catholics should be told that their job comes before their religion. So keep it in your pants.
