Hope you have a quiet night Taff. I've just listened to the BBC news and they are saying that a night in the cells costs £850
more than a suite at the Ritz.
I don't think the Ritz would provide quite the level of service that a lock up would.
Its just another statistic, crazy, they obviously divide the annual cost of providing secure 'cell' for arrested persons by 365, = £850

police cells would be more labour intensive as well
police cells hold say 20-30 people max. and have a custody sgt. and maybe 1 or 2 bods. helping
i am looking after just short of 200 all on my own on my wing.

"Gary is clearly a very clever chap.
He has that unique ability to find his way through the internet jungle and enter the inner recesses of the Pentagon. Full marks for his ingenuity."
Why should the pentagon want their records to be connected to the internet. It's like a public highway isn't it?
Better to have their own network, I would have thought.

AIDS is a very serious issue in Africa. What the Pope defends should be treated as an apology of suffering.
Their delirant-out of reality ideas simply help to produce desease, death, infected orphans....
It´s not a question of "ideas". The Pope should be taken to an international court.
I´m absolutely serious and angry.

I agree, Mar. But it won't likely happen, just like we won't likely see George Bush in a war-crimes court.

At least Bush has been thrown out of office in disgrace.

well, he wasn't really thrown out of office. He completed his term without impeachment ever being anything like a real threat. Bush did exactly what the current Pope will do if His Holiness (tm) dies in office.

The Pope has a higher understanding than we fallible types have. He knows that human suffering is a precious gift from God and that to use condoms is to refuse Him.

** George Bush in a war-crimes court **
Mr Bush never really accepted the war crimes court. he even signed a law to invade the Netherlands if ever one US citizen would be charged and tried in war-crime court in The Hague. President Obama did not reverse the law.
next person to suggest this again wait for President Obama's change in law.

Many outside of North America may not know who Bill O'Reilly is, and many inside of North America envy you in your blessed ignorance, but this is funny. It seems the upstanding moral guardian of America (and sexual harrasser of employees) wrote a racy novel. And then recorded an audio version of that racy novel. And then the internet happened.
Don't crank this up at work or in front of the kids.
