A poem to match your mood?

Would you like a poem to match your mood?

Apparently I am 'pining for that special person' (true actually ) and was given this love poem:

Anyhow, some of the possible answers are quite funny.

Apparently I'm having an existential crisis. Quite a reasonable diagnosis, really.

I'm having an existential crisis as well, it seems. My poem is rather disturbing though.

Hm, the poems change every time the page loads, now I've lost my original one. It was about a man in a desert eating his heart.

Got a James Joyce poem, one I recognize though I've now forgotten its name, it said before the poem;::
Down! Down! Well, it's what poetry has been used for since the dawn of time - so all right, here's something suitably passionate that might just persuade
the object of your desire into bed.
I have no idea what it could be refering to

just remember, when you think things can't get any worse, they normally do that isn't the right thing to say to cheer someone up is it? I'll get the hang of it eventually, ohnest

I need to get away from it all and got a poem about the sea. Given that I am *desperate* for a holiday but can't afford one until my honeymoon next year this seems pretty apt!

hi Hel,
Don't worry, it seems one might get a totally different poem each day, depending on one's mood.
Did anyone (other than 2-legs ) answer the last question differently than I did? My answer was - 'Through my eyes, stupid'.

I chose 'through dark glasses'. Maybe that's why they labeled me 'in an existential crisis'. They might be right though.

Yes, I answered: through a glass, darkly.
Still said to be pining though...got a love poem, james joyce.
About thunderous horses, chariots and war. The love theme only appears in the last lines. Think he stole the idea from Shakespeares sonnet 73 which appears to be about autumn but in the final lines is actually about love.

Ehm, that should be: 'Through a glass, darkly'

Well, with the unanswered love, and no clue what to do with the rest of my life, you could say that yes.
Recently what has been troubling me is that I've known for a while that the girl I love isn't interested in me that way, but I can't seem to move on. After 2 1/2 years, my feelings about her haven't changed. I know I should get interested in other girls if I'm to get a girlfriend, but I don't want another.

Oh dear, this doesn't sound good for you, Nbcdnzr.
I'm only 'pining' till my heart's desire comes home next week. Your situation sounds much more emotionally serious.
I've never understood how someone can truly love someone who isn't loving them back. It seems more like you can't let go. And frankly, if she doesn't love you then I don't think she is worth the effort. I'm sure there are many other lovely women out there you could fall in love with. But you have to give them a chance.

A Ballad Of Suicide for me - apparently I'm suffering a bit of existentialist angst. Which I am, I suppose.

You're right, Azahar, I should move on. But knowing this doesn't mean it doesn't feel like betrayal to do it. And I don't know if my feelings would change even in the hypothetical case that I do find someone else. The thing is that she is a housemate of mine, so unless I move, I will continue to see her on a daily basis. This doesn't make moving on easier.
