MonkeyS- all revved up with no place to go

Is Stardust the one with the guy who goes looking for a star to give to the woman of his dreams, only to find Clare Danes instead?? Lucky bar-steward!! Wot I wouldn't give to find Clare Danes at the bottom of me garden...

Great film, Miranda Richardson was brilliant in it. As was Robert De Niro.

Trouble with the flicks is, all the good films seem to be on at once, and then you go weeks and weeks with nothing worth seeing.

Thank Nintendo for the Wii. Keeps my spirits up no end.

Yes that's Stardust, but I don't recall Miranda Richardson being in it, have you confused her with Michelle Pfeiffer?

I loved Stardust but Robert De Niro in drag smiley - magicmade it extra-specially unforgettable.

Letters to Juliet.

Superb acting by all three main leads, and the cameo at the end by Franco Nero was well worth the waitsmiley - loveblush

A chick-flick yes, but there's nothing much to complain about with the beautiful Italian scenery and all the romance...smiley - cupid

9/10

Finally got round to seeing Sherlock Holmes and can thoroughly recommend it! Normally can't stand Jude Law, but he makes a darn good Watson.

Shrek Forever After

why they didn't go for a shorter title of Shrek 4-ever beats me!

This had been panned by the critics, so I was pleasantly surprised that it was actually quite funny - laugh out loud at some points. OK, not as brilliant as the first one, but watchable nonetheless. I didn't see the 3D version (as I was accompanying a birthday boy who only has sight in one eye)but I'm guessing the effects of exploding disco balls are stunning in that medium.

I should think because Forever After sounds fairytale-like.

You can call me TC

Because people are getting fed up with Pirates 4, Toy Story 4, so they embellished it a bit. And it indicates that this is really the last and final Shrek. Ever. This Century. Everything must go.

I saw Ip Man not so long ago, what a brilliant film. Managed to get hold
of a copy of Ip Man 2 and just as good. (Ip Man is the story of the man
who taught Bruce Lee)

Ip Man is excellent. Not seen the second one yet though.

Saw 'Primer' this week...erm...smiley - weird

Wibbly wobbly timey wimey. Even Dr Who would have to watch it a couple of times to understand what was going on.

I borrowed Ip Man 2 from a friend who had downloaded it from one of
those download link sites. I just read the review on Primer on
Rotten Tomatoes and it got 75% which is pretty good. I like the sound
of it but I'm not sure if I have enough brain cells to do it justice.

"Whatever Works" - see this if you're a Woody Allen fan (he wrote and directed it, but he's not acting in it) or like that kind of humour. If you appreciate Victor Meldrew you'll love this.

Some fabulous one-liners I'll probably be quoting: "Nothing travels faster than the speed of light so relax"smiley - laugh I just wish I could remember them allsmiley - erm

Sounds good so I will check out the T*sco site.
Watched Sunshine Cleaning the other night, quirky and funny,
"death, it's a growth industry". A feel-good ending that I
wasn't expecting too.

I'm going to see "Sex in the City 2" tomorrow morning, so you have 12 hours to change my mind...

Wild horses wouldn't get me to see that. Mind you, I never watched it on TV and never got the smiley - ant.

But from what my colleagues told me about this particular film, it sounds toenail-curlingly embarrassing.

The first one was good if you watched the TV series. I'll probably watch the second one when it's on dvd.

Well Bev changed her mind so I sat through it alone. What utter tosh, all the subtlety of a toilet seat and almost as warm. Will this take your mind off all the talk of the credit crunch and tightening your belt? I think not. You'll be disgusted at the decadence, you've been warned.

1/10 (and that point was awarded for the Australian rugby team taking their shirts off and diving in a hotel pool, so it wasn't a total dead loss)

The Last Airbender

I thought it might have some good CGI but I don't know. Someone leaving the theatre at the end tripped over my feet and woke me up.
