Is that shouting to make yourself heard above the hoover?

I guess any reasonably regular sound is soothing - also perhaps blocks out occasional noises that might otherwise disturb you. But you have to get accustomed to it. My sons both have their PCs running 24/7 & happily sleep with the sound of the fan, but visitors find it a nuisance.

PS My cat hates the hoover noise & runs away.

Got used to noise of PC fan, fridge running when I was in halls, takes a while to get used to then you just don't notice it *waves goodbye to hoover for the day

Hoover, hairdryer and clothes dryer, all very relaxing unless you're one of my kittens

I like the sound the toilet makes after pressing the flush button. It reminds me of listening to the sea while lying on the beach.

Actually, there is a HUGE "Vacuum Cleaner Fetish" community out here on the world wide web !

Until I bought my first PC in 1999, I thought I was the only person in the world who got turned on seeing a woman hoovering normally ! But HOW WRONG I WAS !
