Had you had any peppermint before, like in toothpaste? It is a well-known counter-indication*, which would explain why the homeopathy didn't work.
* I wonder who's the genius who came up with that one

so, I was trying explain to my daughter what a 'bullroarer' is and I thought 'You Tube!' After a quick search I thought that there was a video of an Australian Aboriginal fellow using one and I thought 'well, this'll be a guy who knows how to use it'.

Luvverly!
I've got one of those things (no string), from a visit 30-odd years ago. A woomera, too.
I'd love to know what they use for strings - all my tries broke, too.

Well, I'd have tried 'roo ligaments if I were needing a new bullroarer string.
I think my enjoyment of that video may have been coloured by a certain current ex-spousal situation.

One of the most powerful insights in the history of science, Mendeleev's observation of the patterns in the properties of elements, and what he made of those patterns, led to a incredibly reliable and accurate predictive tool - the periodic table.
And Tom Lehrer made a comedy song out of it.
Note that he wrote the song in 1959, so many of the ones that were not discarvard (sic) at the time have since been added.
I made this vid because it was itching in my head to get out...

Doctor Who: No Blinking Allowed
"In the video/montage, the TARDIS takes us on another journey down Memory Lane...
We start with that memorable moment when the Ninth Doctor introduces himself to Rose and then carry on through brief moments of the Ninth Doctor and Rose era, the Tenth Doctor and Rose one, that first encounter with Donna, and the Tenth Doctor and Martha one up to that dreadful time when the Weeping Angels hold the TARDIS while the Doctor and Martha are trapped in the past..."

Mr. Mclauchlan is something of a legendary songwriter here in Canada. This song is one in these days of worries over starvation and food security we should all be singing.
