I think we'd preserve anonymity... we wouldn't want reputations to be damaged.

@nbb - your normality is nowhere near aligned correctly yet - try another

Broadstairs Pub Crawl, Kent, England A11133505
A coincidence following from nbb's remarks about drinking - an Entry from MMF, which was updated last year by the looks of things. Seems very useful if you were in this area and needed information about where to go for a pint.
'One, Two, Three' - the Film A767234
A film review, about a film I had never heard of. It made it sound quite interesting though.
Attache Cases A219827
A historical Entry from 1999. I felt the humour was a little forced. But this is our legacy, so Entries like this have a right to be preserved just as they were written when the site was new I guess?
The LBW Rule in Cricket A778070
Helpful explanation for those who've not been inculcated in cricket laws. For all those who've ever wondered why the fielding side all jump up and down and shout 'Owzat!'
Added to the earlier Entry, 4 worthwhile entries out of 5

The hypothetical person sent in a photograph of a pot noodle, which has had me in stitches. Watch this space for it to be processed and applied to the Entry.
And thank you - it is wonderful.

Dublin, Ireland - A fine example of an early Gnomon. It's tough keeping this type of fact-packed entry up to date, and I suspect a review and update wouldn't go amiss. 3/5
Determination of Eye Colour - Harmless, but in places a bit like reading a GCSE textbook.
Needs a spell check: "Melanin ... is the principle pigment in hair and skin." 3/5
How to Avoid People You Don't Like - Always good to read these charming entries on silly subjects. This one is full of humour, but it's starting to fade in a couple of places. 3/5
Kalmar Castle, Kalmar, Sweden - Short, crying out for a picture, but works because there's more history in it than architecture. 3/5
Stella's, Ithaca, NY, USA - concise and very well written. Exactly the kind of entry we should all be able to write. 4/5

You see him pop up on antiques roadshow occasionally
'Ah yes, this is a clear example of a piece from Gnomon's middle period...'

A44196375 Der Hauptmann von Kopenicke - I wasn't sure about the title, but it was an excellent read 5/5
(In Pliny, every paragraph after a QUOTE had funny formatting)
A3768393 The 1980s - Films and Television - A collaborative entry that was very good, especially the Animated Adventures section! (I was a child of the '80s...) 5/5
A17719103 WT Cosgrave - I wasn't sure what to expect from the title. The Entry was very short and detailed, so it was a bit dense although OK 3/5
A791237 Motorcycle Touring in the South Island of New Zealand - in places it tried a bit too hard to be humorous, but it was OK 3/5
A708734 Almost Pythons - part of the Monty Python Project and was good in its own right 4/5

A20074682 Perfume - Very informative and interesting 5/5
A5762793 The Visitor - A Star Trek Deep Space 9 Episode - I haven't seen the episode, and have never been keen on DS9, but it was a gripping account! 5/5
A14066589 Doctor Who - restoring missing episodes - a bit technical in places but very interesting 4/5
A41607858 English history for the average tourist - an amusing romp through time and praise to the updaters for seamlessly continuing the story! 5/5
A778241 Made in Heaven - Queen's last album (another vintage Gnomon ) Short and brilliant description. 5/5
(bonus points to the Infinite Improbability Drive for finding me an entry about Queen )

Chemical Cock-Ups: The 1921 Oppau Disaster and its Aftermath - A11816697 - very interesting entry, excellent - 5/5
One Liner Jokes - A839225 - a good medium size entry - humourous to those that don't tell so many one liners like myself 4/5
Rich hall (bio) - A13996380 - another good medium size entry, with a few interesting facts I didn't know about the man - 4/5
Gaia - A356997 - a rather dull mostly harmless theory that doesn't even quite tell me what it is talking about, let along anything about it - 1/5
making your own cloak - A42425480 - a very well written entry, interesting enough to keep someone completely disinterested (not to mention lacking in manual dexterity) reading until about 2/3 way through - anyone with a hint of interest would find it excellent - 4/5
3.6/5

Oh thank god it was one I gave 4/5 to - I did check that the 1/5 was given to someone who is no longer around, but I always feel nervous when someone crops up after being reviewed
I'm still nervous about what some of mine would be rated by if they were marked

Ah, the vanity...
One of mine (in fact, my first) came up a week ago or so, and was rated poorly. So I read through it and all I can say is that the rating is fully justified.
Y.

It's vital we do this. We can understand how entries 'date', and can consider how to update them to keep them relevant.
It's the humorous entries which are particularly interesting. Some humour fades very quickly, and if the reader doesn't recognise that, it can leave the entry sounding really odd. It can be tricky knowing how to update these. We're not all timeless comedy writers like DNA - in fact, very few are.

I suspect my facebook entry will have dated a fair bit in three and a half years (and no, that isn't an offer by me to update it )
My enlisted ranks entry (my 2nd entry) I suspect isn't that good, looking at it (partly from my writing quality, partly from not having that much to write about) - I'd be interested to see how my others would turn out

Here's some I looked at a few days ago...
Roman Shields A87709675 - Excellent; shortish and informative 5/5
Erich Huckel - Scientist A2390005 - An excellent summary of his life 5/5
Joseph DoLuca - Film Composer A553277 - Good, but I think there were a few typos in it 4/5
Photo Diary Week 4 A476066 - needed some digging to find out what it was about, but the project turned out to be quite interesting.
Rich Hall! - benjaminpmoore waits 410 posts for an entry to come along, and the same one appears twice in quick succession

The Cuyahoga River, Ohio, USA A2966772 - good and informative but was too long to sustain my interest all the way down, as geography is not my favourite subject 3/5
Portal - the Video Game A38426079 - Excellent 5/5
Concepts and elements of sci-fi in TV and Film A1132057 Long, but with variety and humour, so I enjoyed it 4/5
The Lindbergh Baby Kidnapping A476796 - gripping 5/5
Wasps A225839 - good 4/5
