My favourite is of course!

I use Brunel so they're very easy to click on, but I was under the impression that digibox users preferred "plain", and I don't know how one "does" smilies in that skin

We do the smilies as you do i would have thought??!!

We just type < smiley > with out the spaces.

Is that how you achieve yours??

No, as I said, in Brunel skin there's a little panel of the most commonly used ones underneath the typing space, and I can just click on the one I want to have inserted.

The others I type in.

queeglesprogget: Yep have seen AWOL about on here, don't recall from LD. There have been a number of LDers that still persist in being nasty, so I can see why he may wish to go. You never know he may be back under another name not known to be an LDer.

General thoughts of LD...

I have been told about somebody I 'chatted' with on LD, and was really surprised the was one of the bad users from that site...

I found LD after watching a TV show called the “Web review.” The latest interactive world games fad.. Pressed interactive >>> Games >>> Games to Play >>> Leisure District.

It was not what I expected, but had a look around. All the talk of chat sites would appear to be true given time. So I would click Automatic and watch who is doing what to whom

First room, Foyer. Visited the pub now and again, they had a guy called Bamber, doing quiz nights. Looked at The UK room etc. only toward the end.

Some fun could be had, with making up a name, and seeing the 'pure' people in action in private messages. Sad. So much so h2g2 stared to look more like the kind of site for me, this and digital spy.

If you wanted a chat, then there was normally somebody to talk with. The virtual pets and games where OK. The prospect of just using message boards, seems restrictive, the whole h2g2 experience is far better.
