I think it is parafine they use to breathe fire. I guess the stuff you pour on the grill to turn it on will work fine. But be really careful.

Wooo be *very* careful. In fact don't. A lot of the things they have for lighting barbecues have all sorts of nasty things in them to make them burn 'cleaner', but which could be all sorts of carcinogenic stuff you don't want to be swallowing (which does happen if you're breathing fire, though you try to keep it to a minimum). Probably ok for juggling fire, with proper equipment and a bucket of water handy, and if you've not done this stuff before, please please get someone who does know what theyre doing to take you through it.

There's an entry on fire breathing in the Guide - A653203

We keep underestimating the Guide.

It's worth searching occasionally. Although I knew that one was there.

Have just finished a run of performances in a Son et Lumiere (spelling is a very weak point!) Anyway there was a lad there who was juggling fire clubs and yes before each show they were soaked in paraffin.

In a similar event about six years ago a chap was involved who fire ate/blew. I cant remember now exactly what he used for this, but I do know it didn't taste very good because he kept copious quantities of bottled water back stage for rinsing his mouth out + pouring on the odd burn he ended up getting. A word of warning, even if you already can fire eat - watch which way the wind is blowing, a flaming spray of paraffin being blown back into your face is not a good thing to be near!
