Melbourne, Australia 1210pm Tuesday
Cloudy, cool 16C
Honestiago, I went on a hovercraft in Broome (NW Western Australia - always hot about 30C-35C, gets cyclones in the wet season) and it was good fun. Probably not as big as the one you are thinking of. The Broome one held about 30 passengers.

About 24C, overcast, but no signs of rain. Lots of birds on the lawn. No further sheep sightings. No other surreal sights on the street, for that matter.

Lots of sheep. (Well, only 4 actually but I don't know where they came from ). The wind was blowing the rain through the keyhole earlier so it's obviously coming from the south. It's hard enough to blow over a 5 year old (boy, not ).
There's a pretty impressive river running down the track. Enough water to gouge out a channel for itself

All this good weather following the snow and ice of last week and the wind over the weekend is doing my garden flowers no good at all.

Raining, still. I'm about to go out and get some lunch and I'll get wet again, just like the walking bits around this morning's train journey. Oh well, keeps the reservoirs at the bottom of our road full
Rain, rain, rain, rain beautiful rain

Good grief Summer has found us again! Today we have a top of 36C with 27 - 35 over the next 3 days. Very gentle breeze and bright sunshine. Not a cloud in the sky! It was only 13C when I left for work at 0630 this morning, so it was a bit of a shock when I left the building this afternoon!

About 31C, dry... Apparently it'll be like this for the next week, and up to 37 or 38C by Sunday. Never mind rain, there's not even a hint of moisture in the air.

It's about 22 or 23C and there's no breeze whatsoever. This might explain what I'm doing here at this absurd hour. Can't sleep.
Ivan.
