London, 11:40am. Hot and hazy. Annoyingly clammy. Have headache already. How on earth am I going to cope if it gets as hot as last summer? (How did you cope last summer? Err, I didn't. I lost my temper every fifteen minutes and begged to be taken to the Arctic Circle).

Hot. Hit 35c today. at 1:42 its still 24c. We are supposed to have thunderstorms this morning so I suppose I wouldn't be able to see the Venus Transit even if I were able to get up early enough. The mosquitoes have hatched.

Oh and for some reason both pets have decided that they must be on top of me right now. Also something that comes out this time of year makes me itch all over for weeks.

Sunny and warm. Easy to spot venus on the sun when projecting it through binoculars onto white card - NEVER LOOK AT THE SUN THROUGH BINOCULARS OR TELESCOPES.

Blue Bird reporting from Long Island, N.Y. USA June 9, 04 Very hot and humid today. Officially 88F at noon, but my thermom. shows passing 90F.
One goes to the protection of Airconditioners. So is comfortable inside the house. Weatherman promised thunder storm and cooler air coming in the evening.--- Perfect weather now at the beach.

Storm clouds are gathering. I can see at least 10 different shades of grey in the sky, and the little low clouds are scudding along at some speed. Over to the east I can see the greenish underbelly of what is definitely a thundercloud.....in fact, there's the first peal now!
