I’m listening to The Orb’s Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld. I lost this six months ago and was contemplating buying it again, but it turned up today. Fantastic stuff! Currently on Backside of the Moon.

XTC - Apple Venus Pt 1. Splendid.

Pulp - 'This Is Hardcore'. Much villified on release but actually very good. When I first moved to London ('98) I listened to this a lot, and always had it in my discman when getting the National Express back home to visit for the weekend (along with The Divine Comedy, natch.)
And aren't you happy just to be alive?
Anything's possible,
You have no cross to bear tonight.

Am I the only person 'round 'ere that hasn't got The Fratellis album?
I'm now listening to 'Help The Aged' for the first time, and making my already beleagured throat croakier with every pass. And I haven't even got to the wonderful, splendid, beautiful title track yet. Can I crank it any louder?

Dedication in the face of adversity.
The Kooks - Ii/io
I haven't played this for a few weeks because i'd sorta overplayed it. 'I want you' is playing at the moment, and it is utterly fantastic.

I just came out in sympathy, so it's 'Seaside' at the minute.

Who are Everclear? The name sounds like a windscreen polisher or nasal decongestant. Or a thrush treatment.
(and I bet they sound like Radiohead)

Oi! Oi Oi Oi! There is nothing whatsoever wrong with sounding like Radiohead, as long as they *are* Radiohead. I think that's where Clodplay went wrong...

Cucumbers to you sir, you just haven't been stoned enough.
On a serious note: how is it possible to *not* like The Bends? I know you can't answer that but it's the way I feel about it.
