'The Royal Mile' - Gerry Rafferty.
I went to the library to try and get some MSP, but no joy. I did however get two other albums... Gerry Rafferty's 'Snakes and Ladders' (which is every bit as good as 'City to City') and another, chosen on the basis that it was a Realworld album... 'Beat the Border' by Geoffrey Oryema, which is also excellent. Very varied... different songs remind me of a number of different artistes... Clannad and Paul Simon among them... maybe even a touch of GR.

Madrugada Eterna, The KLF (Part of the Chill Out album - ambient at its best).
Realworld. *Thinks I'll have to put on the RW album Bliss next, a stunning chill out album from one of the most interesting labels*

*wonders whether he'd ever emerge from the corner again if he did*
Are you sure it's safe to go in there without scaffolding and a rope?
Yup... still Gerry... 'Didn't I'.

Fantastic, and a kick-ass support act from Feeder too. (Buck Rogers, Seven days in the sun, something else I've never heard of but which was cool too.)
Etc. etc.

'The River' - Geoffrey Oryema
(apart from the voice, totally Peter Gabriel, with a touch of Clannad thrown in)
I'm going to have to look out for more Realworld albums now. Glad I took the plunge with this one.
