Having played a superb game of Rounders (or Softball) with the h2g2 crowd in Hyde Park yesterday, I feel that I would have remembered being beaten about the body with two-by-fours, because that's what it felt like this morning. I think I've pulled every muscle in body! That'll teach me to try to hard to hit the ball out of the park. (Except it wont.)
Great day out, though, and even the torrential thunderstorm wasn't enough to put a damper on things. I mean, that's why pubs were invented, right?
Kudos to Aby for arranging that, and for scoring so... um... elegantly!

You know, someday I'll live where you do and I'll be able to come out and play too.

Oh, I hope so.
In the meantime, I'm working on a number of teleport booths which will be placed at each base, and in various people's back yards around the world. When the fielders throw in to a base, they have to get it into one of the booths, and it randomly telports the ball out to, say, Chicago, whence it comes whanging out of your booth and into your soft mitt!
Pay attention, though - you never know what it may be coming! And watch out for the flies getting in there as well.
Oo - how about 15 years time, when Internet telepresence sets are available, we can actually stand in a virtual softball diamond and virtually kick dust at each other too! Ahahahaha!
