to be honest I am not the best person to ask about your page,
My page is just made up of links that I think other people will find usefull,

I think it might be a good idea to have a look at the who's online link, and see if you can get some ideas from other peoples pages

OK cheers anyhow, i know what you mean about the stats page taking an awful amount of time, mind you it's not loading at all from my page at the moment, is this anything to do with me being on a digibox (i wouldn't of thought so, but felt i had to ask either way)? Once more all the best .

its not the digibox, H2G2 has been going slower and slower laterly, and no one seems to know why

Yeah its finally worked for me, and as for slow updates its more than likely all the recent ex LDers coming online, myself included. On that note have you noticed the amount of researchers ,has it gone up with the LDers currently online or is it about the same as pre LDers? I was obviously pondering about this and also how has the site changed since, ie better or worse? (purely inquisitive on my behalf)

I don't think it is the amount of LDers or other reaserchs that have joined, the server can cope with them, but then there does not seem to be any other reason either

The amount of reaserchers is always going up, the amount of LDers that have joined H2G2 is small compered to none LDers, but saying that, once a LDer has got used to the site, they tend to stick around more than none LDers, so the amount of LDers are being noticed more

and as co-founder of the LDers, then I think it has changed for the better

The main reason why i was asking is that a lot of LDers use this many or even primarily as a chat room, obviously without conversation in wouldnt work at all but you know what im saying though. I must admit i have only added one guide entry myself, although every time i post a journal entry i am greeted by a certain ex-LDer who has ridicule awaiting, dont get me wrong no nastiness involved, its just that to me normal conversations is where joviality belongs and journals are for more serious entries. Catch you later . ps i hope that im not stopping you doing your ACE/GURU duties.

I think that a lot of people use this as a chat room, and it is not only the LDers

you get a lot of people that try to get a lot of guide entries edited, and I think that is a good thing as that is the main part of the guide.

but then you get people (like me) that are not that good at writing, and only use this place to meet and talk to other people, and as this is the best site I have come across for doing that, then that must be a good thing as well

I don't think that journals are meant to be serious entries
if you have a lok at my journals, I only said that I have a picture on the net, and out come all the jokes
and if anyone has you on there friends list, then your journal entry will go on there page as just another conversation, and they might not even know that it is a journal entry

Ah i didnt realise that the journal entries, appear the same as normal conversations, but when i think about it i did - as ive had a few to go through myself. I'm not a particularly good writer myself and was given this link (as most are) from another former LDer so i to came on with a view to catch up on old friends and maybe meet some new ones, but have had a look around and find a lot of things on this site interesting, and thus wanted to create an article of my own (please take a look A1042101), and yes i designed for reaction.
