Uh... what's that? Sorry, this is the first time I've ever posted here, but since two researchers have already told me I ought to put my project up here, I thought I'd give it a try...
See, I was involved in this h2g2 discussion, and then I wanted to check a fact, and went looking for an entry on the '7 wonders' - but I couldn't find one, so I decided to write an entry myself, and I've already posted it at 'Peer Review'...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A601093
...but then I was almost drowned in further interesting facts and details about the wonders, so I tried to encourage other researchers to write separate entries on each one of the wonders - I thought those entries would be a better place for those fascinating facts, because I want to keep my '7' entry short and simple...
Two researchers have already written entries on some of the wonders, and they have already put them up for 'Peer Review':
Gnomon has written about The Pyramid:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A602858
...although there already is an edited entry on this subject, but not by far as extensive as the one above...
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A577
And then Bumblebee, being the busy bee, has written two entries:
The Colossus of Rhodes (being edited as we speak)
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A602128
The Hanging Gardens of Babylon
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A603785
So now all I really need is 4 more entries to link to, describing one of the wonders in detail...

Oh, and there already is an edited entry for the Hanging Gardens, but again very inadequate compared with Bumblebee's entry:

As to the index page: just copy&paste the GuideML (use /guide/test123456 for A123456 and you're there) from some other Project announcement thread next door The index page is a fact sheet with researchers' name(s) and entries which belong to the project.

Hi Titania,
Good idea for a university project! If you want to include other people's entries in the project, they can't also have gone through Peer Review. Therefore, I'd recommend you contact each of the authors and ask them if they want their entries included in your project. If they do, I'll move them out of Peer Review and have them subbed separately as part of your project.
As Bossel says, your index page just needs to have your project information on it, including a list of the pages you want included - just post here again when you've created one. See http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/University for all your University-related info.

Hi Titania,
I'm a newbie much as yourself. I found that talking to an ACE really helps you getting about. I can recommend a couple if you wish.
Nice topic. Good luck with that.
Cheers
Moon.

* in, quite unlike her usual vague, elf-like manner*
Sorry, but RL has been a pain in the you-know-what lately - please hold...
Project: 'The Seven Wonders of the World'
Titania (gone for lunch) Posted Aug 20, 2001
... When I said 'please hold' it was because RL was growing way too busy for me to handle for a while, and I hoped I would have the time to check with Gnomon and Bumblebee if they would allow me to bring their entries with me into this project - my fault, probably, not making it quite clear...
...but I *haven't* checked with them yet, so will you *please* hold until I tell you it's OK?

Oops! Seems I've already got some very enthusiastic co-writers - - would it be alright if I cancelled this project?
Sorry for the trouble...
Oh - and I'd like to see Gnomons Pyramid entry back in Peer Review if possible - pleeeeease?

Hi Titania,
No problem at all - seems everyone wants to write about the Wonders!
It's Gnomon's choice to put his/her own entry into Peer Review - ask if (s)he wants to submit it again...
