Sorry to hear it brother.

I hope the dirtbag gets what's coming to him and you get your bike back.

It's hard to think of a punnishment suitable for this crime.

You got any ideas about what would be fitting?

Well the old fashioned punishemnet of: hung-drawn and quartered has appeal as a good start...

Sorry to hear the bad news PondRat.

Don't know if you've got a similar thing over there but Blighty has some web pages for listing stolen bikes. I'll check and see if they mention an Aussie link.

Does anyone remember a kids game from the 70's called 'Click-Klack'? It was to spherical objects each tied to a piece of plastic which you flicked up and down and made the noise of its name? Well that's what I would do!! smiley - evilgrin

Gives info and might suggest a listing if you contact them.

Thanks for the support guys and the links.

Yeah they got her from home sometime over the weekend. I hadn't been anywhere apart from me local bowling club all weekend so I hadn't seen her since Friday arvo when I got home from work. Went to go to work Monday morning and she wasn't where she shoulda been smiley - sadface

Hi Pond Rat,

My son got his bike back - it had only been moved a few hundred yards, and it was found within a couple of days.

The recovery guys "supposedly" contacted him by calling his mobile, but his 'phone didn't show anything, so the first advice was five days later by second class letter. They charged him two hundered and ten quid for recovery & storage.

Almost every visible wire has been cut, and one side panel was missing, plus other damage, and he had to pay forty quid for someone to get it home.

I reckon the wire cutters should be sent to go and clear the land mines - they can cut wires to their hearts content then !!!!!!!

No, and I don't expect there will be. She's in another state or possibly even another country by now - or maybe just itty-bitty bits waiting to be sold... smiley - cry

It turns out the beloved was not stolen by your normal thieves, no it was legal thieves.. aka Finance Co goons with a repo notice assisted by the local constanbulary no less...

oops... smiley - sadface

At least I shall be reunited with her soon.
