Actually, this isn't a recipe but a cry for a recipe. I used to go hiking with a guy who would bring rice balls for lunch. They were great, but I have no idea what was in them. Anyone have a good rice ball recipe?

Could have been Onigiri. Usually balls of rice with some kind of filling -- such as salted salmon (shiozake), cod roe, bonito flakes, etc. They also sometimes come with nori (seaweed) around them as a form of wrapper. ^_^ They're pretty easy to make, and fun.
