I've lost 25 pounds! Since January 3rd!
In "weight" not in British money!
Yep - I've decided that this is the year to get this weight off.
So wish me luck - as I'm a great "starter" and not a good "finisher"
Yippee!!!

What kind of exercise?
And how long do you exercise, and how many days a week?
And why are my scales stuck? Stupid things must be broken....
Yippee!!!

My scale seems to be stuck too ... I've been bouncing around among the same darned 3 pounds for over a year now ...
Yippee!!!

Well lets see...
I'm eating right - low carbs, higher (leaner) protein,(but not as protein dependent as the Atkins or Southbeach diet) fresh veggies & fruit - staying away from bread, pasta, potatos, rice, cheese, desserts etc. and walking or swimming at least three times a week.
And no - it's not easy as I have one HUGE sweet tooth! So I try to grab something that's low in suger or is suger-free when I want something "sweet" (trying to wean myself off of suger - not that I'm diabetic or anything).
So everyday is basically:
Breakfast: Sourdough toast and an egg.
Morning snack: apple and protein bar (Zone bars are great!).
Lunch: chicken/fish/cottage cheese w/2 cups raw veggies & crackers.
Afternoon snack: an orange & a protein shake.
Dinner: beef/shrimp/chicken/fish and 2 cups cooked veggies (or combination of cooked and raw, and twice a week I get 1/2 a baked potato. I can only have beef twice a week. And no pork!
And at least 10 glasses of water every day - and I can only use light salt.
Yes it looks strict - but the bars and shakes are taking care of my "sweet tooth" and I don't get hungry as long as I remember to drink all of my water. It's medically complete and I take vitamins and Essencial Fatty Acids to make sure I'm getting everything my body needs. It's a program called "Slim-4-life" and you weigh in every week (like Weight Watchers).
Only this week I was sick - so I threw a little "pity party" and I had chineese food and a brownie! Oh well - back on the wagon today!
Yippee!!!

You're losing too fast, Michele. Five pounds a week isn't healthy ... it must be that your spinal fluid has drained away.
Yippee!!!

I lost another 3.5 lbs right after my "25" post, but then was actually up 3/4 of a lb last Saturday when I weighed in. So that means I've lost 6.5 this week - but last week I wasn't losing anything because of all the cold pills I was on... so a lot of it this week could be weight that wanted to leave last week - but decided to stick around to see if I would survive the "AW flu"!
Yippee!!!

Ah, I bet you're going to the gym because the pool is ice-cold, which beats the summer heat.
But congrats anyway.
Yippee!!!
