It might be a way of finding out whether Fnord really is double-jointed and has a cubic spline.

"ex" - a has-been
"spurt" - a drip under pressure

I had thought of a version of that, but I was going to spare you....
too late.
The one I heard said that
X is an unknown mathematical item
and spurt is a drip under pressure, so.......
an expert is an unknown drip under pressure...

I wonder when drip became a perjorative?
Uncle Webster is not kind enough to tell me.
