thanks for the welcome...

feels like that scene in Freaks - you know the one, "gabba gabba we accept you, we accept you, one of us..." (showing my age again...)

looking forward to forging new friendships and suchlike (I'm in Manchester - where are you?) it's like having a pub full of people you get on with... without having to walk home..

Notice you all have HH-type monikcers,I'd have to be craigie* the infinitely prolonged (with a nod to Wowbagger...) Such a great job, insulting all creation... alphabetically...

But most of the time I identify with Marvin. All the pain in the diodes down my left-hand side....

speak to you again later!

You can always go for Bob. I'm in New York City. Kind of makes me feel Marvinish these days though... ;-) I found the Questions Only forum for you. It's at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F63419?thread=100987 There are also some other very interesting forums and "societies" on h2g2. Some of the more festive ones are linked from Shea's links page as listed in my original post. I myself am a member of the ACEs (as stated), the NE US Researchers Group and the keepers. I am awaiting a "title" from the Thingites and awaiting my own fish from the Fish Adoption Scheme. I also have recently started wandering into Questions Only. I'd like to say it's the most childish I've been in years but that's probably not overly accurate. ;-) Enjoy the guide! If you need anything just post the question to my page by clicking on my name above this or any of my posts.

I have a couple of friends/e-mail buddies, call them what you will, in NYC already, one is in Medford and the other in Chasapequa Park, perhaps you know where these places are?

We met through The Church (the band... not the thing...) Mailing list, Seance, and have similar tastes in music and other stuff... mainly Aussie/UK/US guitar pop...

Music is a big thing in my life. The BIGGEST thing in my life... doesn't cheat on you... rarely drinks your beer without asking... and is mostly always there when you need it!

Enough of my yakking, have a great weekend!

see you next week (probably with some stuff to be edited...)

I've heard of those places but don't know much about them. I hate to admit it, but about the only time I get off the island (Manhattan) is to go to the airport to go elsewhere.

I can definitely agree about the music thing though. I'd go nuts without music, particularly with all the public transportation time NYers put in on a daily basis.. smiley - winkeye

Hell There,

As I understand You Are a fan of Vivian stanshall, and sir henry at rawlinson end, Did you know there were 15 radio shows in total?

Anyway, you said that you had two shows of the series, were they broadcast in the ninties, and only 14 minutes long?

If so what you've got there are the edited versions the BBC cobbled together after viv's death, The original shows all exist, although in varying quality, from near perfect to sounding like they've been dubbed from a popadom, If you'r interested in more information about them then just ask, I have all 15 shows myself

Cheerio

hi,

please forgive the lateness of my reply...

You have ALL the Sir Henry's from the BBC? Hurrah!!

any chance of copies? (cassettes are cool, i can burn cd's for you if you want...)

Only thing Viv i have by way of trade is the Bonzo's Bootleg from the 60's... let me know if you want the tracklist...

My tapes are from JP in the 70's and eighties, but i was an irregular listener...

God! i'm so excited!!!
