From the guide definition I guess that "Central Heating Boilers" are a misnomer, as they do not as a rule BOIL the water, just heat it up as it passes through (although mine is currently making noises that sound suspiciously like a kettle - due ,it appears from various websites, to all sorts of crap settling in the heat exchanger).
Why is the heat exchanger situated at the lowest point in the 'boiler', when a lower trap could be incorporated away from the source of heat?
Perhaps I could suggest this to Potterton and earn some reward (what's the Smiley for "some hopes"?
