h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

This has been mooted as the Matt Smith Dr's catchphrase. It's on the BBC Dr Who interweb site.

The reply has pretty much been: Nooooooo!!!

No-one likes the idea of another catchphrase for a Dr which only seems to have started with RTD.

It has been said by someone that a character in Coupling says it in the episode called: "Size Matters".

What do people think?

And more importantly...*IF* Moffatt has got it as the Dr's catchphrase and he finds out every thinks it's a bad idea...I wonder how easy it would be for each 'Geronimo' to be edited out of the episodes...

A catchphrase only started with RTD? I must have imagined 'oh my word', 'reverse the polarity', 'would you like a jellybaby' and 'interesting; / 'brave heart, Tegan'.



Why don't we wait and see, instead of getting worked up over something that might not actually be bad. Anticipointment is smothering online fandom. Seems you're not allowed to like anything any more - you have to look forward to not enjoying stuff.

Mayybe Matt's catchphrase should be "I've got legs!" I'd love to see how the writers work that into each episode.

It seems that Geronimo is the new Allonsy (Bad spelling... I think).

Actually he has a secret third leg in his armpit. Though they might choose not to reveal it until Matt's finale.

Or I might of just made it up. I forgot.

Or there's another reason why they are calling him Dr Tripod.

We had 'fantastic' before, which was fine. Allons-y, which was ok.
Geronimo, however, makes me grind my teeth!

We shall see......

Matt Smith looks great to me but I'm far more excited about Karen Finally a fit redhead companion (though I appreciate Turlough did it for some people )
