As a one time resident of Penrith I can confirm that Penrith is far closer to Scotland than the Wales this article claims it is in! It is about 20 miles south of Carlisle in Cumbria on the edge of the Lake district (not too far from Ullswater).
Great Place. Not Welsh!

I did actually know and try and get someone to correct it about a year ago, but it didn't happen...
For some reason I had a mental block when writing that sentence. I do it in history essays too...start slipping into the present tense and then have to go back and correct it *sigh* which is what I should be doing now.
Thanks for getting it sorted, it has been a great sense of shame for me
