28 January, 2005: Advance Warning of Changes to Categorisation System
The H2G2 Editors Started conversation Jan 28, 2005
Recently we've decided that we plan to make some changes to the system of categorisation we use to classify our Entries within the Edited Guide - ie, the 'filing system' you can see on the front page, and in crumbtrail form at the top of each Edited Entry.
This is a relatively minor change but we wanted to let you know before it happens. All it really amounts to is streamlining the system and make it less confusing to newcomers as it's grown along with the site and parts of it have got a bit out of hand. The changes will probably occur in the next couple of weeks but we'll let you know more details nearer the time.

"rumbtrail"
The towers will be swarming with rats and mice and perhaps sparrows, too.
Remember Babes in the Wood?
We'll never be able to find anything.

I thought *I* was the only one who left crumbtrails.
Now you've dashed my sense of uniqueness.
So, anyway, my eyes were a bit blurry today, and when I saw who had written today's announcement, it looked like "The H2G2 Idiots."
I didn't think there *were* any idiots at H2G2, so I took another look. Editors, not Idiots. What was I thinking?

Just to let you know, I'm thinking of posting on the site.
It'll probably be a relatively minor post, in the next two or three minutes; I'll let you know the content nearer the time.

'Remember Babes in the Wood?'
Surely the towers would be 'Babels in the Wood?'

I was being serious! arn't the 'minnows' the techo-jargon for the servers that store the thinggy style sheets for H2G2? I just wondered that the sparrows, (techo-jargon for the data transfer protocol speed diveded over teh number of open servers), might affect the minnows, or visa versa
Key: Complain about this post
