A little problem....
>>If you have a piece of content referred... ....then please use the complaints button (or 'yikes' button) to send a polite message to the Moderators.<<
There is no 'yikes' button on entries that has been removed, so its a tad tricky to give it a whack and send a polite note to anyone!
How about either,
1) Put a yikes button on such postings.
2) to change the text of the message to say that it has been removed for foreign language content and give the e-mail address for the researcher to make any comment.

Hi,
If content is failed the Researcher is sent an email and asked to respond to that if they don't agree with the moderation decision.
You can yikes it if a URL has been edited from a posting, but it's still left visible, which is what we were talking about above.
Hope this helps to clarify things!

We don't get any tennis here at all. I saw from the scoreboard that there's only one German player left in. As if that was a reason not to show any Wimbledon on German television.
Apparently there's some football going on somewhere, and it seems that Germany are playing tomorrow. At least you would think so, judging by the 24 hour football programmes we're getting.

How overworked are the mods?
I mean, if they found a link to a page in a language other than English, would they be able to pick a few words or headers from it, do a Google search, and if the page comes up in the results, click on the "Translate this page" link which almost always comes up on Google?
It might not be foolproof, but it might save some time.

I'm sure you said elsewhere, but I can't remember (or find) the answer. What is the correct procedure for Researchers to follow when content is left permanently referred, as in the case of foreign language postings?

Mina Posted Jul 23, 2002
There is no procedure for 'permanently referred' Postings and entries. The only thing a Researcher can do is be patient until we have been able to translate it, and it passes or fails. Then it can be treated as any other Posting.

Ok, so when Mark said:
> "If you have a piece of content referred [...] because of non-English content, and you would like to take issue with that decision [...] then please use the complaints button [...] to send a polite message to the Moderators. We'll take a look and get back to you as quickly as we can.""
What did he mean?
