h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've got one friend who works as a driver for the Birmingham Repertory theatre and another who is a stage set maker, he is freelance and very much in demand, he is mainly based at the Midlands Arts Centre, but also does stuff for other theatres. Plus i knew lots of actors when i lived in Brum, but haven't seen most of them for years, 'cos of being abroad.

I was very involved with St David's Arts festival in Wales, my Brum friends still go there every year, no doubt there is now a website for it. Basically the idea is young people go to St Davids, in Wales, from Brum and put on plays in local schools and the Bishop's Palace, an amazing mediaeval ruined castle, audience sit on rugs and watch Shakespeare and stuff performed in a real live setting, my mates used to do the lighting, wonderful challenge in a place like that.

I will see if i can find a link, you might be interested in getting involved, it's very well respected in the theatre world.
