Well, my internal jukebox is playing Johnny Cash's version of the old hymn "Do Lord", mainly the bit that goes
"I got a home in Gloryland that outshines the sun
I got a home in Gloryland that outshines the sun
I got a home in Gloryland that outshines the sun
Way beyond the blue"
except that instead of the word "gloryland", I'm, hearing "Geordieland" (message for non-Brits: Geordieland is a term sometimes used to describe Newcastle-upon-Tyne, gateshead and other bits of Tyneside)
So, now I've got:

Way beyond the blue"
Which is strange, because I don't have a home in Geordieland, and nothing about Geordieland shines a great deal, with the exception of the millenium bridge

I'm enjoying the Olympics so far, you know. Even the sports I don't really understand. And when did they completely overhaul the rules of table tennis? It used to eb best of five games, each game was first to 21 with a lead of two, change server every five serves. not any more.
No, now it's best of seven games, each game is first to 11 (lead of two) and server changes every two points, unless the score reaches 10-10, and then they alternate service point-by-point.
How can they piss about with onre of the only two things I was good at in PE. Next thing you know, they'll be changing the rules of running the 400 metres on a 200 metre track

They *do* use a 200 metre track. Well, at least for the indoors athletics anyway

You misunderstand me Mr. Desk- I did run the 400 metre on a 200 metre track, and I'm rather worried that they'll change the rules about how you go about it- you know- change the lane markings, break for the inside,

No, the soap was on a high shelf, I knocked the shampoo off, bent down to get the shampoo, slipped, jogged the whole shower mechanism (including the little shelf, and the soap came down and hit me in the face, some of it's foamy produce finding it's way into my mouth. Got my beard really clean though.
