Oh, I know just what you mean. A friend's mother started explaining to me about how she caught her finger in a car door, and the car started to drive away... I was sitting in the back of her car at the time (couldn't escape) and I darn well near swooned!

It's not a nice world for those of us who feel the pain of others, is it smiley - cheerup??

Especially when we're friends with people like Egon smiley - winkeyesmiley - laugh....

Thank-oo, Tanzen, you hit the needle on the head. smiley - smiley

Hmm, anyone else know particularly vivid words? There's 'vivid' itself, and 'gouged;' how about 'ripped' or 'shimmer?'

Perhaps we could compile a list of these words and prohibit their use in conversation? smiley - tongueout Especially by clumsy people like Egon and myself.

Am I the only one who thinks 'prohibit' sounds mushroomy? smiley - huh

*ignorres the last few postings*

We had lunch on Monday, then kind of mooched round the city cerntre during the afternoon. And, fittingly, when we walked into Music Zone they were playing Crowded House's "fall At Your Feet" on the stereo.

When people begin to use the phrase "our tune" it makes me want to smack them...

It's *not* a shame that Simon Bates is no longer on the radio. I remember him quite clearly as a smug tosser with extremely poor taste in music smiley - tongueout

The best coincedental music moment I had was last year, when I was in a chemist's picking up my then-girlfriend's prescription. There was a bit of a queue in there, so I waited, and 'The Drugs Don't Work' by the Verve came on the radio. I was half expecting Dom Joly to walk in, and do an about-turn and walk out again.

Strangely, I was the only one in there to bat so much as an eyelid. Still can't work out why. I mean, I know it's a very multi-cultural community in my neck of the woods and all, but the staff at least spoke good English.
