That Sleeman website made a reference to "old English porter", and as I'm a young English porter, that sounds good to me! Actually, add that lonsdale Street you mentioned to me that time, and there seems to be a heavy "me" feel about the place.

...anyway...it all ended when a couple of British fellows I'd made friends with along the way...dragged the capt. off...tied him with ropes & stuffed him into a boat & tossed a tarp over him & took me back to the clipper I had been sailing on. When I awakened I was IN the cargo net waaay up in the air with dolphins swimming along side the ship...I don't recall how I got down from the cargo net. But I must have as here I am.

btw, Egon Richard's on Richards (Richards is a street) has been known for a very long time by the affectionate *Dick's on Dicks*

No sexual innuendo, it was originally very swank and the name was supposed to be ironic. It stuck and now it's a pleasant small venue for bands. It has a balcony all around which I like, you can look down on what you can fantasize are the hoi polloi (sp?).
