Hi to you too Dan! Sorry...didn't see your post til today.

Yup - Queen fan I am indeed. I was lucky enough to actually see them perform live and cried buckets the day the music died (RIP Freddiesmiley - rose).

However, I shan't be rushing for a ticket for the new "queen" gigs - pffft! it's not Queen is it? It's just Rog and Brian...that ain't right. What do you think?

smiley - cheersLiaT

hi, in response to your response i kind of agree, paul rogers is a fantastic performer with an amazing voice but its just not freddie. i often sit and think that he died in 91 and all i think is because he died its 14 years of amazing music and whole lot more that the world has been robbed of, it makes me very sad. i was lucky enough to say goodbye to him along with 1000's of other like minded fans at the freddie mercury tribute concert. i have never cried so much in all of my life. i feel sad also that we dont see mr. deacon anymore, such a lovely man. bless him!

got to go, kids will be up early.

take care

Danny

I was also at the tribute. What a fantastic day that was. I must have been on my feet for something like 12 hours but it was all a blur and I too cried like a baby.

Whereabouts were you on the day? I was about 10 "rows" back from the stage left. I'd got to Wembley at around 10am to get as near to the front as poss. At about 1pm there was a sudden surge to the gate - for no reason at all apart from sheep mentality. We (me and my sis) were just dragged along with the flow. When they began sound checks and rehearsals we were practically at the turnstiles (singing along to the choons like everyone else!) and when they opened the doors it was like a stampede to get to the front. I've never run so fast! From the moment we got to our "spot" we didn't move at all until the long slow shuffle back to Wembley Park tube. Not even for a loo break! smiley - bigeyes

Ah the memories!

As for John Deacon - what a sensible move he has made. He has obviously chosen to grow old gracefully!! After all those years with Queen who can blame him. Good on him!

Have a good weekend.
