I think the items that we needed to bring next time are:
Flat shoes
Heels
Skirt
Buttoned, long sleeved shirt (not with lots of small buttons)
Dressing gown or wrap around dress.
It is good fun, but £15 per session. Up to you!

Uh, I'm not really sure. I can show you the individual moves, but overall I'm still not sure. I missed the first session where a lot of the introduction was.
I guess we'll know a lot more about it if we go to the Manchester thing (which I'm really looking forward to now!).

I've looked up a few things on YouTube (before my browser decided that randomly closing down is obviously the best way to gain my affection). There do seem to be less clothes than I was expecting...

Moves? I'm confused....I literally know nothing about what this is about. Is this about learning burlesque? Or studying it? *Is confused* I thought...well, I don't know what I thought!

It's learning to dance it. It's basically an early (and tamer) form of striptease, I think. The amount of clothes that actually come off seem to differ from performer to performer.
There seem to be a few set moves, which is what we're being taught at the moment. It's a lot about confidence on stage and being a charismatic performer as much as the dancing (which is fairly light, as dancing goes)

I just found out that I can't get Thursday off - I couldn't even get today off to look into why my kitchen was leaking! I'm the only person who can do what I'm doing right now, until at least next week. Bah bah bah. And I can't slide my shift as I'm not allowed in by myself once everyone else goes home on this department. Health and Safety.

ooh, something else; the Flat Cap and Muffler Association, which is a group of Northern Researchers (i.e. us!) is here: A732458
You may want to subscribe to that page in case anything interesting comes up, like a meet or something. Not that I'll beorganising one in the next six months, oh no...
