No problems - that's what I'm here for smiley - biggrin
So many questions ... well here goes ...

To Insert a picture - copy the code from the graphics library and just paste it into your "edit page" window
You can reveal the code used on any user page by using http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpageXXXXXX where XXXXX is the user number - for instance to view my page use http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpage38014 and then you can "pinch" bits you like - but it's usually polite to ask first - but you can use anything from my page without asking smiley - smiley
BTW - I must tell you that all those smileys make your page slow to load - but it's up to you smiley - biggrin
To learn the differences between HTML and Guide ML go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/GuideML-Clinic

I'll answer all your questions in separate posts - that should make it easier - so keep reading smiley - laugh

There are lots of people your age here - though you probably have to check out their user pages to see if they put their age their.

I think that Niwt is about your age and he's been here for a while - you can find his page at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U162817
He's an Aussie too - just as I am - but don't hold that against him smiley - laugh

Your friend Maltz hasn't activated his page yet - you can find him at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/U183059 but as he hasn't opened his space (as you have) you won't be able to leave him a message - tell him how to do it and then you can leave him a note on his space smiley - smiley

BTW - you can search for a friend using the search function and going to the "Search For A Friend" function.

and it's not necessary to "sign" your posts because your name goes above the post each time - though you can (of course if you want to) smiley - biggrin

Everybody can see (almost) everything around here, if they just happen to look smiley - winkeye

I have the habbit of looking at personal spaces, Jurnals, threads and entries of researchers I'm in contact with smiley - biggrin

If you want a "keeper" you might want to ask for a guardian Angle.

I'm a guardian angle, so If you want to I'll be your Personal Patron Saint Guardian Angle smiley - angel

Well, keepers are titles people aquire on the Keepers homepage.

it's at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A441596

On the other hand, a Guardian Angle is someone that is a GA here on H2G2 and takes care of you, your intereses and stuff like that.

The ACEs are the people that help you get along and start getting around h2g2, and they are all sickeningly nice and cheery, so a lot of times they just become your friends.

I'll have to butt in and disagree here.
ACEs aren't all 'sickeningly nice and cheery'. * takes ou sub-machine gun and takes great pleasure in killing everything nearby while laughing *. See. We can act crazy too smiley - tongueout

I concur - I haven't been "nice" since I was a wee tad smiley - laugh
and I've NEVER been "sickeningly" nice - smiley - yuk "nice" is a horrible word anyway smiley - laugh

Though I am happy to be your friend Psycho Monkey smiley - biggrin - and always happy to help.

Angles (Guardian or otherwise) can be acute or obtuse smiley - winkeye which, I must admit, is better than being "nice"
