I thought I'd handle this well, after all 29a isn't much different to 29, but it appears not. Have turned into an irrational crazy woman. Ugh.

Watch it B, my mental state is already 'fragile'. You don't want to push me over the edge now do you?

Being as I haven't been there, I won't offer any cheery-up words. My 'friend' mentioned that I wasn't that far away from 30, it's only 18 months, which got me stropping for 5 mins
What are you planning, blow out your 20s with a bang?

Am crawling into a hole and pretending it isn't happening
Actually I'm going to a Spa for a couple of days of pampering, scrubbing, buffing, polishing, and generally being kicked into shape. The idea is that I come out looking 20 again so I can just keep reliving the same decade

Definitely a good idea. I won't mention that (un)magic word either - though I jack up another year in two days time myself, and my age will be the same as my house number (no, *not* 57).
Which spa are you going to, Kelli? If they can knock you back to 20 again then I'm definitely interested!

I went to Champneys Henlow. It was nice but I preferred Ragdale Hall.
Had a good time, did loads of exercise, got pampered, ate loads, but not sure I've been transformed. I did get a new 'do though. The boyfriend really enjoyed himself too, despite his grumbling beforehand. Turns out he likes being pampered as much as I thought he would...
Still finding it difficult to think about my age - what is the matter with me?

Hmm. Have to start saving some dosh, I think. I could do with a bit of pampering. Once I've refurnished and redecorated my room, that is.
But first, a short trip on Google to check these places out (and their prices!)
As for the age thing, I get around it by thinking age is just a state of mind. Given that my workmates thought I was still in my twenties, I think I'm well placed to pretend I'm younger than I am, though!
Wouldn't want to go back to being in my twenties however - not a good time in my life. Too much unemployment and crappy-paid short-term temporary work (with no money to spare for anything at all) for my liking. My job may still be boring and the pay is still crappy - but it's less crappy than it was back then and I can actually afford things now and again.
Yeah - I think I prefer being in my ****ties.

*waves to Kelli*
When you first said that you were going to spa I thought you meant to buy some ice cream from the shop.

How many hours had you been 31 for when you wrote that
I'm still feeling weird about it, although with a good run up and a fair wind I can actually say 'thirty' now.
How long am I going to mourn my twenties for?
