I have kidnapped mead from Scotland.
No amount of money will induce me to part with it...
So you'd better sign me up, and sanctify my spirit(s), if only for the sake of those lonely few bottles.
Poor bottles.
Now I must hold them, and whisper sweet comfort to their contents.
Places I have walked. West coast of Lewis, Orkney (Hoy, Westray), Kilmartin Glen (),Ben Nevis (2/3rds then it was heading towards evening.. figured better to be safe than sorry), the Goat Fell (Arran, in extremely misty conditions!), Staffa, Iona, streets of Edinburgh.
Family tree wanders back to Fort William, and Orkney, and other parts. (I am a third generation Kiwi. The great-grands came out to New Zealand, and settled mostly in the Dunedin/Southland region.)
I have photographed numerous standing stones/cairns/bronze age remnants in Scotland. (especially in Arran, Is. of Lewis, Orkney, Kilmartin Glen.)
And this.

Cheesey, isn't it? But it was fun to do.
I guess I have to be a fan then.

You sure that URL is working properly?
I'm sure Jamie RedBeard will come along shortly (unless he's already gone to the pub for the weekend, in which case we probably won't see him until next week) and add you to our list.

Yep, it should go to a picture, if you click on it. (I am a recent arrival to h2g2, so forgive me if this doesn't work right! I tried it, it seemed to.)
(Caberworld is the place where I stash my pictures.)

Anyone whose picture looks like that Sean Connery chap (famous expat Scot) in Highlander can't be all wrong

Well, if Sean Connery miraculously turned out to be female, we might be closer to the mark!
Just so long as nobody tries to prove the existence of the Highlander 2 movie, okay? From another planet? Geddoudofhere, you delusional creature!
I might not be all wrong, but I can certainly try.

How did you get a picture of my tonsils?!

There's a First Bus broken down in the middle of a single track traffic lighted road repair about 200 yards up the road from me at the moment. The poor driver might just be in trouble from his passengers and other road users at present .
Fortunately I know a side street ......

*pulls up a badger, sits down...*
As long as I have my mead, a little bit of Scotland will always reside in me (belly!)
