h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Last night I dreamed I was passing the house of someone who used to date my sister. He had become caregiver for his elderly mother, who must be in her mid-90s by now. I dreamed that their house was getting a bit rough around the dges, so I picked the house up and tidied the exterior. (Manye xtraordinary feats of strength like this are possible in dreams. )

Then I realized that they probably were in need of some other new stuff, like carpeting for the floors.

So, I went to a nearby shop to buy a nice rug that would cover the whole floor. The only rug pattern that seemed at all suitable was an old one that had been collecting dust in the store for some time. So long, in fact, that mushrooms were growing out of it. Some of them had gotten quite big, and I wondered if they were safe to eat.

Anyway, as I unrolled rug, I found that most of it was free from the mushrooms.

After such an altruistic act I think you should have been entitled to some mushrooms.
Someone must have stolen them when your back was turned.

Fluffy Pink Rabbit was the only one close enough to do that.

I always say that I never dream.

I lie still as anything I hardly move at all. !!

I suppose that I do dream but I never remember them! But how kind of you to pick the house up,repair it and then buy a splendid new carpet for it. !!

So glad the mushrooms were not all over the carpet!!.!!

Now could you please arrange to dream that when I have the CAT s

scan of my skull and the ultra sound of my neck on Christmas eve

that there are plenty of magic musrooms aroung to repsir any damage


! Then you can just bring me back from the hospital and let me sleep the sleep of the just and I can wake up fresj and well ion Christmas morning.

What a wonderufl Christmas present that would be.
