A Conversation for Palm Pilots & PDAs

Which PDA?

Post 1

Uncle Travelling Mac

I've been having a look around at the various makes and models with an eye to purchase. Has anyone got any recommendations? My current thoughts are with the Compaq iPaq model - but it is very expensive!

Cheers,

Uncle Travelling Mac

the iPaq isnt much of a pda really, more of a small computer.

i recommend the visor. has a nice not-too-expensive wireless attachment, and is much cheaper than a palm pilot. cheers!

The iPAQ is a pocketPC. It runs with a windowsCE or a pocketPC linux OS. As said, it is more a small computer than a PDA.
Visor from Handspring are very good PDAs running PalmOS and fully Palm compatible. Cheeper than the Palm but as good.
