I got my free tv/radio decoder today, but is not working!

let me explain!
the free decoder was special offer by my broadband cable internet provider in co-oparation with the digital tv provider, wich are owned same holding. as said earlier it is not working. why? because the signal is too weak, caused by my broadband cable internet. they are sending some one over to look at it. their costs!

I pay about 48 Euros (GBP 39) a month for my broadband cable internet so I was happy to get a free digital decoder (150 Euro / GBP 103) and 2 months digital for free. (16 Euro / GBP 11).

the digital fee comes above normal cable fee: total 19 euros (GBP13) a month, but I will get me about 90 tv stations, including BBC 1 thru 4 and BBC Prime and BBC world. oh and 7 documentary channels, like discovery channel and lastest fashion art (3 channels).

I heard that people get satelite dish and few euros subsciption you get more than 100 channels. I would do that if I could please satelite dish, because I live groundfloor and my realtion up stairs neighbours are bad and the garden is unsafe, because burglary.

If you have satellite, you don't have to pay anymore, just by the items you need.
We have cable tv, it's sufficient, I hardly ever watch tv anyway.

I'm quite jelous that your digital TV is so cheap, but your internet is so expensive. yikes! £39, wow we pay £18 now for 512Kbs, and if Ofcom can get it's act together globering BT it'll prob drop further.

(the USA enjoys even more extream, their TV (and chocolate) is extreamly crap, but their internet is much cheaper and faster)

odd, there is probably a chocolate to TV ratio, the better your chocolate the better you TV, the more costly the internet. smiley - winkeye

*mad*

nope, 5 working days they will have called to make appointment

strange think some tv channels work since logged from internet.

in another case this holding also responsible for gas and eletric. the last 2 years I used more electric, than I used to so I reported last year nothing was done. this I wanted sorted, because usage was 4 times higher that I expected. (expected: 2000-2200kW, but it was 8800kW). my numbers are correct according to their meter. when they send me bill they changed it to about 1800kW without asking me. I was keeping electric usage diary at time, wich says my yearly usage is about 3200kW. they are coming to check meter and if I am correct I do not have pay for the checking, but if I am wrong I have pay for checking.

it is working without a technician coming.....

when I installed the decoder I switched 2 numbers in postal code, when checked it last night I saw the switched numbers. costumer service should picked up, because I said wrong postal code belonging to my town. both postal codes have same digital tv provider...

feels very smiley - geeky now!
