Well, I'm away for a year, come back, and find that my old pal's been assimilated. Bureaucrats must die, or at least spend a considerable amount of time sitting in a block of concrete in front of Power Ranger re-runs played backwards at ludicrously high volume. Or something. In any case, nice to see that the community didn't lose any time dealing with this. (I think I'll just shut up now and tell you my stuff.)

Make sure you go to the Moderation Helpdesk (dig around in the FEEDBACK area) and ask them why they messed with your page, if you feel they've done something unusual or unfair. They're usually prompt and apologetic when something goes wrong, or prompt at trying to explain how one's content violated the rules. If only they were as prompt at fixing the rules.
Maybe it's just a broken link, but that's a stupid reason to pull down a whole page. Of course, having a broken link on your page would not get it pulled off any other free webhost or online community, but that's the price you have to pay apparently to be a part of this community and enjoy this wonderful atmosphere.
(I hate to keep sounding like I'm advertising the benefits of EVERY OTHER ONLINE COMMUNITY IN EXISTENCE, but the current restrictions on h2g2 make it SO EASY. So necessary.)
