Don't be daft! A rose by any other name is a Daffodil or possibly a Chrysanthemum ....
Yuvi Posted Jul 31, 2004
Has anybody else played FF?. I bought it at a charity shop and the nostalgia coming off it is almost dizzying. Is it worth anything if it has $1 scribbled on it in permanent marker?

I never played the original AoE, but I did play the second one. As I played through the expansion pack, though, I got kind of tired of the gameplay. There were only so many scout up the river and kill the village maps I could take in sequence... Ah, well... Rise of Nations has recently filled the void in my life.
//Yay for strategic and tactical gameplay.

AK - fancy that! Posted Jul 31, 2004
I've played several games like that... AoE 2 its expansion, and the star wars version of that and its expansions. I've found it can be pretty fun if you do the game that gets everyone tons of resources and then use the cheat so that everything is mined and built instantly. Makes it freakin impossible to wipe another guy out... great fun.

Midnight Ice - the Daughter of a Cacophony of Chrysanthemums Posted Aug 1, 2004
Anyone played Age of Mythology? It's also good (or it was when it came out).
My friends and I recently went through a phase of playing the original AoE - the cheats are etched into my brain. I love multiplayer AoE - it's so much better (except when everybody else has an army of Photon Men who come and shoot up your village).

Ah well, I've only played it twice, myself. I don't even own the thing, but I really wish I did. Then I'd play it all the time.
I'm content with AoE for now.
