I'll take a cup of Darjeeling with sugar and a splash of milk. Plus cake. Lots of cake.
*NEWBIE ALERT* *NEWBIE ALERT* *NEWBIE ALERT*
I'm a newbie, I guess. Found this blessed site about a month ago, whilst procrastinating from exams. I've written a couple of things, including a review of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada that was probably far too long and is most likely lying on the editor's floor doing a good impression of confetti.
Anyway, nice to stumble across this welcoming party. I'll help sweep up afterwards.

The Researcher formally known as Dr St Justin Posted May 26, 2000
Welcome! And I wouldn't worry about clearing up afterwards - this one just keeps going and going, so there is no afterwards to worry about!

Hi, Red Herring,
Welcome to h2g2!
I'm not really part of the welcome committee (only been here a week myself), but I noticed that you joined in here and wanted to say Hi.
Lots going on, depending on your interests.
First, I recommend that you put something, anything on your home page. Simply click on edit page on the left of your home page and type something in. At that point, other residents will be able to visit you and drop a line for you at your page.
Feel free to drop by my home at http://www.h2g2.com/U126471. If I'm not there, I'm probably hanging out at the Aroma Café: http://www.h2g2.com/A202924
If you have questions, post a note here, or just about anywhere I'm sure you'll get a visit from one or more of our wonderful ACEs soon after you get something on your home page.

Researcher 89025 Posted May 28, 2000
Hi there I'm an old Newcomer!!! I had to re-register cos I forgot the e-mail address that I registered on originally so now I have two homepages only one of which I can access. Any ideas on how to get rid of the other one?

Demon Drawer Posted May 28, 2000
Hi R89025, go over to Peta's page http://www.h2g2.com/U24 and leave a messagge for her there, she should be able to sort something out for you when she gets back to the office on Tuesday.

Sho - employed again! Posted May 29, 2000
Oh. Hi. So, I finally got round to saying hi, i'm also a newbie.
Actually, joining in the forum stuff is a bit like skipping (when 2 others are
turning the rope) - took me ages to get up the nerve to jump on in.
So, there it is. And I have nothing interesting to say. Xcept that I found
out about h2g2 from a German news magazine interview with
His Dougness.

Ah. well, if you look at my homepage you won't find much. I'm squeezing this
in between bouts of keeping the wheels of industry turning...... hope the boss
isn't looking
