Cartoon got the name because at the same time there was another cartoon that ripped the name "The Ghostbusters" off from the movie without permission. Due to the copyright law at the time however, the "Real" ghostbusters couldn't just take the name back. ( I forget why, tho...)
Anyway. Hi! Welcome to the guide! It looks like you'll fit right in here among the wackiness. I'm not an ACE (assistant community editor), but I do like to pop in and say howdy to new folks from time to time. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. See ya later!
