The verdicts in-Guilty!

Ah! well thats then, I know what you mean about being tired all the time, I had to have my medication changed as it was turning me into a zombi
No really! it was, Mk2 eventually got fed up and made the appointment to see the and he took me off it straight away
So I feel more alive now, (still forget things though)
Smudger,

Are you at a high enough elevation that you can escape some of the oppressiveness of North carolina summers?

Charlotte is only about an hour or two from the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Actually it doesn't get overly hot here and even when it does it doesn't last long. Overall NC has one of the loveliest climates I've lived in.

Now if I could just convince the summer to stay in Florida and let the spring move quietly into autumn instead I'd be set.

Batty - as one of your 'acees', circa early 2003, I've been wondering where you were.
I'm sorry you've had all these problems - and thrilled to bits that you're now c-free.
Wishing you a speedy dissipation of the tiredness etc.

Thanks. It's been a difficult road and I'm going to have to have cancer scans and MRIs every few months. The MRI isn't too bad - get stuffed in a noisy tube for an hour. The cancer scan gives me the willies though - it's not as cramped as the MRI but is dead quiet - it's like test driving a coffin.

Well, I know you can find a way to make those things seem bearable, Batty. Just imagine that you're in a very theme park.

hehehe.. that it is!
I have free tickets to Carowinds. Maybe I'll take PC to a real theme park and we can ride the new coaster - the Borg Assimilator! It's a flying coaster..

Hi Batty!
Gosh! What can I say - I am thrilled you are now cancer free. I have obviously been away too long as I had not even realised you had been ill. Having recently helped a friend through the final stages I can tell you how pleased I am for you.
How is the rest of life treating you?
Look forward to catching up soon

Batty, what type of back water MRI's etc. are you having?
They gave me 20mgs of johnsons baby valium and plastic head phones with my choice of music. The only truly hard part was not wiggeling my toes to Ozzy!

Thanks Light! I didn't notice this thread had gone active again.
Pan I think the brandname on the side of the MRI was Edsel.. or possibly Yugo..
I just had my checkup with the surgeon and she's released me for the next 6 months. Next month I go back into the specialist and hopefully he'll do the same. Plus it wouldn't hurt to be able to work some of this extra 'stuffing' off that my sedentary summer put on. Apparently even when all you can eat is watermelon and lings it still builds up when you can't move around.. Of course if I can stay out of the hospital for a year I might treat myself to liposuction or something festive like that.
