A Conversation for How to Speak Brummie

I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm getting pretty sick of seeing our accent ridiculed in adverts on TV. First there was the thick "we wanna be togevva" Brummie in the Prudential adverts, then there was a moronic Brummie pig advertising Coleman's Potato Bakes, now there are a couple of dim-witted Brummie Hell's Angels pigs advertising BT Broadband. Enough is enough, I say! Why can't we stick up for ourselves?
If these pigs had any other accent, we'd soon hear about it! And taking the mickey out of black or Asian accents would, quite rightly, get you into some serious trouble. So, why is it still ok to take the mick out of Brummies all the time? It appears to be the last acceptable prejudice, but I say it's got to stop.
If you get as angry about this as me, contact the Advertising Standards Authority (www.asa.org.uk) and have your say now. Click on 'How to complain', and then fill in the online complaints form. It should take no longer than a few minutes, but it'll ensure that ouir children aren't victimised because of how they speak.
