Fi, it's awful when the kids are involved, the older they get the harder it is to keep it from them. It affected my two no end, kids are very sensitive to bad atmosphere. Your OH is well out of order trying to bring them into it, I hope you told him straight 
. Try the sofa treatment again and make it damn clear if he tries to involve them again, he's out on his ear until he sorts himself out.

bloody men - he just texted me accusing me of taking his lunch money when he gave me the money to buy beer
So I phoned him and he all nice to me telling me he is hacked off about the lecky bill.
So I told him straight not to give out to the kids about me and he apologised but I am still hacked off!!

Don't you forgive him yet , make the bugger sweat for at least a couple of days for involving the kids 
They're a bunch of Neanderthols aren't they? Give them a football or a crate of beer they're happy, give them a loving family they just carp all over it

Fi, if you think he is incapable of change, you have to think of the kids. It's hard, but it's better than them growing up thinking that's how relationships work. That's why I got out of mine when boys were 5 and 4 but even that was too late, they still remember loads of stuff that happened, particularly Son of Dev, he still remembers his Dad knocking 7 bells out of me when he was 3.

Dev thats awful - now there is no violence but it does make me realise that the way I deal with him - by shouting really loud - is afecting the way I deal with people and its not good.
He keeps saying that he will change and he wont. And my friend last night was blaming the drinking and maybe it is the drink - but he wont stop or change and I am getting that I have enough of it.
I really have to think long and hard about it - but him involving the kids was not something that I saw coming if you know what I mean.
