I think I have until the 20-somethingth, maybe it was 22nd or 23rd until mine starts back up again.

Thorn: 22nd or 23rd!? That's not a holiday its a sabbatical!
Chimp: Are you back this week or next?

I think it's the Twenty-third of January that I go back to University.

I want to be like a doctor or a scientist or a professor but cannot quite make up my mind about which one.

I'm fine, thank you. How are you? Do you have to wear a white coat?

I'm better now. Big trouble with some of my characters in one of the games though. Perhaps they will get the firing squad if they are lucky.

It's a science-fiction game and my character was bad. He brought a stowaway.

Yes, when there is a chemistry lab to do, then we do. And goggles if we are heating things or working with stuff that splashes or goes boom.

If we are working with dangerous gases they have you use this thing with special fans built into it on the ceiling called a fume hood. A lot of the time they have us wear gloves.

It's fun though. As long as you are careful.
You make things that do things. Sometimes you make things do other things that do some more things before making something else.

And there are all these funny odd little rules and exceptions about how lots of the different things behave. Some of them only behave some of the time though, and that's part of why it is tricky.

That's the chemistry I have to learn how to do and get better at. The biology is different. That part for me is easier. You get to see lots of different plants and animals and creatures, and look at their insides how the parts fit with each other and how the different systems interact to do different stuff. That part is hard and smelly sometimes, but it can be fun too.

What grade will you be in?

Oops. People who were the other characters on the ship that found out got pretty upset.

Too late now.

That is why you should kind of try to always think things through some first before throwing something that turns out big on the table when playing those sorts of games.

I'm not so good at them, but I like them.


I should follow some of my own advice more.

I have the opposite problem, I think a lot before I make my character do anything... so that I often talk myself out of most ideas and the rest can end up pretty watered down...
