H2G2 Theme Sheet Music

Does anyone know or have the sheet music to Journey Of The Sorcerer? Preferrably piano or violin sheet music. I've got the arrangement used for the TV series and Radio Series record by Tim Souster, from a ring-tone I found. If anyone knows a place where I could get it for free, or as a download, could you please tell me?

I don't know where you can get it for free. I wrote down my own piano version from hearing the serial at the time it was on (radio). Do you not have a tape or CD recording to which you could listen?

Yes, I have the full thing on MP3, although I'm not good at transcribing it. It's also 6 minutes, 37 seconds long. I haven't been learning music long. The best I probably can transcribe is 'Ba Ba Black Sheep', but not very well. I printed the first page from MusicNotes.com, but that probably isn't much compared to the rest of the song.

Might you (i.e. Sef) be able to e-mail me a copy of your piano sheet music?

Does anyone else no anything about this?

Unfortunately, unless the author/owner releases it for free, you are rather stuck with playing by ear for your own transcription. There are technical and copyright reasons why I can't just send you a copy. The technical ones are format issues, eg uploading GIF or MID files onto h2g2 isn't possible (a TABLE cheat would take too long) and sending an email to an unknown person is rather a risk. Whereas a ring-tone can sneak past the rules by using the 3% exemption clause in copyright (and being in text mode on site), a full transcription is a clear violation of the law.

Jeepers jordz - you're really getting wound up in Copyright today! This also isn't something that should be freely downloadable online.

I've already got three other plans.
1) See if my music teach has it
2) Convert the whole seven minute thing to midi (the download for the software isn't working) and put it through a Notation Machine and print it out; or, if I'm really desperate
3) But it from the nearest music shop

Whoami? would go for buying it at the local music store. I made enquiries last week, and they don't have the seperate Journey of the Sorcerer sheet music, and I'd have to get it in one of those Eagles Omnibus-type books. Trouble is, it costs about $49
Would I pay that much for just one song? No. I don't know what to do!

The solution seems simple enough, although this is unlikely to work either:
1) Find a larger music store.
2) Find a better music store.
or 3) Find a big library.
I can't advise that you break copyright law. Someone might steal my badges...
