I decided to write this article when I was researching castanets for school and the Guide didn't have anything on them. When you read it, any suggestions would be thoroughly appriciated.

Hi Abaris!
OK, let me first mention that this is no official point of view, I'm just another researcher...
"Flamenco dancers in Spain use them to make a rhythm..."
Castanets are primarily used in Spanish folk dances, not in Flamenco (and Flamenco is not a Spanish folk dance). It has repeatedly been pointed out to me that the Spanish gypsies never use castanets. However, I believe some non-gypsies might have been experimenting using castanets in Flamenco dance, but it's not common.
"The Egyptians introduced them to Spain..."
I think it would be more appropriate to use "The Moors introduced.."
The Moors were nomadic people of N Africa, originally inhabitants of Mauretania. They became Muslims in the 8th cent. and went to Spain (711), where they overran the Visigoths. Not quite the same thing as Egyptians...
I also have some facts you could add to this article, extending it a little - maybe we could become co-writers?
