TELL US ABOUT HEALTH & MEDICINE IN YOUR WORLD

EM Health is creating a global health information resource, specifically for patients and consumers.
We follow and exceed the most stringent quality criteria for health information.
Furthermore, we 'localise' our topics for every country and culture, making it relevant to who you are and where you are.

We have started in the UK and would like your help to expand.
Please tell us who and where you are, and about your world; things like...
Treatments and treatment guidelines
Symptoms and how they've affected your life
Your country's voluntary service organisations
Official Bodies and Centres of medical excellence
Evidence in scientific papers
News and anecdotes
History and mythology of the condition
To further improve our information, please discuss our entries or send us your comments and criticisms to [email protected]

With best wishes

Pheroneous

If you are fortunate enough to have a good Pharmacy near you, you might find it worthwhile asking for advice. Many have access to net-based advice services, and can print you out the requisite advice for your destination, even if they do not personally know the requirements for your destination. They will also have, of course, many of the other supplies you require and can supply you with any necessary medicines, particularly any injections, that you/your doctor may need.

(Yes, you guessed, I have an interest in a Pharmacy! Nevertheless, its true. If you were to come to us, you would indeed get all the above and more ... and at better prices than your supermaket or local sandwich shop (sorry Boots!)

Hi,

I actually work in the Royal Free Hospital Academic Unit of Travel Medicine & Vaccines, mentioned in the article.

If you want travel info, you could always email me at [email protected]

We are running a malaria prophylaxis study at the moment for children between 3 and 16 years old - if you phone the Travel Clinic on 020 7830 2885 they should be able to give you details, but hurry, as the study recruitment period is nearly at an end!
